Chris moved from the USA to Tokyo in 1994, when he became a founding member of the Tokyo Comedy Store. He is director of Improvazilla, Tokyo’s longest-running long-form show, specializing in mosaics and musicals, and the English and Spanish improv programs at Studio Gokko.
His Punching Up workshop on diversity and inclusion has been well-received around the world in Japan, Italy, Germany, Dubai, Canada, the USA and Argentina, and is inspired by his experience as a gay improvisor in the 80’s and 90’s.
He has a BA in Psychology, and is a Senior Advisor with EY Japan's wavespace, designing and leading workshops on innovation and creativity in English and Japanese for some of the largest corporations in the world. In addition, he is a narrator and voice actor heard on NHK World shows and the voice you hear on the JR trains in Tokyo.
